Russian super club Anzhi Makhachkala are reportedly looking to sign the services of Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder.
According to italian newspaper Tuttosport, the Russian club’s billionaire owner, Suleyman Kerimov, is willing to jump into the transfer market once again and stump up whatever Inter Milan want for the Dutch international.
Wesley Sneijder, who was has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United during the summer and through the Janaury transfer window, has struggled for both form and fitness this season and with new coach Claudio Ranieri recently admitted that he isn’t sure how to get the best out of the Dutchman in his new 4-4-2 system.
There is an apparent acceptance that Anzhi could find it difficult to convince the player to move to Russia but they are reportedly willing to offer Sneijder a contract worth €10 million per season and are hoping that the 27-year-old could be swayed by striker Samuel Eto’o, who made the move from San Siro last summer.
Sneijder joined Inter from Real Madrid in 2009 and played a key role in the club’s treble win the following year.
