Arsenal January Transfer News – Arsenal Look to Bring in Some Barcelona Quality !

eric-abidal-barcelona

Arsenal January Transfer News – It’s been said that Arsene Wenger is looking to bring in a loan player or two to help cover for the ever growing Arsenal injury list espically in defense, altho a permanent move for Barcelona full back/centre half Eric Abidal would make make far more sense as he is out of contract at the Nou Camp in the summer.

The French international is well known for plying his trade at left back but when needed he can slot into centre back with ease as he has done for most of this season, this would be another great reason for the Gunners to sign the Barcelona defender.

However, Arsene Wenger would have to break his own policy of handing just one year deals to players over 30 as Abidal is on the search for at least a two year deal, this is the main reason he has not signed for Barcelona again as they have only offered him a one year deal.

First choice full backs Bacary Sagna and Andre Santos are out injured along with Kieran Gibbs and Carl Jenkinson. To make matters worse on Monday youngster Francis Coquelin also suffered an injury, and he was only filling in at left back due to the lack of first team options left in the Arsenal squad.

slow as mertesacker, i would worry if they were both in the back 4

No way Wenger is going to buy any more defenders who are older in age, he is only going to go for a forward who can score and create goals for him. By the way what ever ppl say the current squad is great and only lacks in scoring more goals thats all
