Premier League Giants Manchester City are lining up a move for Raul Albiol this summer, according to media reports.
City boss Roberto Mancini has shown an interest in the Real Madrid reserve defender as he also searches for defensive cover at the Etihad Stadium, and Daillyfootballnews are aware that City could make their move in the summer for the Spanish international.
Albiol hasn’t played much at all since his move in 2009 from Valencia and is said to be disgruntled with his situation at the Bernabeu, where new signing Raphael Varane is now ahead of him in the pecking order for a centre half spot.
The 26-year-old joined Real Madrid for £13 million and has made 58 appearances in all competitions in this his fourth season at the club, he has also played 31 times for the Spanish national side.
City have suffered injury problems this season with Mancini also losing Kolo Toure to the African Cup of Nations and key man, Vincent Kompany to suspension following a controversial red card in the Manchester derby.
