Yossi Benayoun Moves from Chelsea to Arsenal on a Season Loan

LONDON  -Yossi Benayoun says he has signed with Arsenal from London rival Chelsea.

The Israel international wrote on Twitter: “I sign with arsenal, very happy and excited about it.”

No further details were provided.

He joined on a transfer deadline-day when left back Andre Santos also signed with Arsenal from Turkish champion Fenerbahce and center back Per Mertesacker arrived from Werder Bremen.

Arsenal is also chasing Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta.
