Arsenal January Transfer 2012 News – Arsenal’s Russian international Andrey Arshavin looks set to be sold in the January to fund the clubs new signings.
The Sunday Mirror reports that the midfielder, who joined Arsenal from Zenit St Petersburg three years ago for £17.5million, could be let go if a bid around £10 million is offered.
Arshavin who is now 30-years-old has struggled to find a regular place for the Gunners and Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen to sell him and use the cash to strengthen his squad this January transfer wondow.
With Injuries to Andre Santos, Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson and Bacary Sagna have left the club very short at the back and Arsene has previously said he may be forced into buying at least one defender this month.
The Frenchman has already re-signed Arsenal legend Thierry Henry on a two-month loan from New York Red Bulls.
