Sir AlexFerguson has reportedly sent over to scouts over to Spain on a number of occasions to watch young Real Madrid reserve player Jese Rodriguez Ruiz, who has been at the Real academy since early 2007.
Rodriguez ia a star for the reserves and that hasn’t went unnoticed by current Madrid manager Jose Mourinho who has included the young Spaniard in his recent first team squads, though he is out of contract at the end of next season, hence the interest from Manchester united.
Jese Rodriguez Ruiz scored his first Real Madrid goal in pre-season were Madrid hammered Chinese team Guangzhou Evergrande 7-1 back in August 2011. He made the bench in the Champions League for the first time in the win over Ajax in December. Rodriguez made his debut in Real Madrids 2-0 win over Ponferradina in the Copa del Rey when he came on for Cristiano Ronaldo.
He has been called the new Ronaldo because of his playing style and on the Real Madrid website he lists his favourite player as the former Man United star.
Rodriguez played in the Spanish U17 team at the 2010 European Championship where the player scored a goal in the semi final as Spain beat Turkey 3-1 on their way to losing to England in the final.
The Spanard scored 17 goals in Real Madrid’s under19 side in the 2010/11 season. Rodriguez’s displays were so good that he was called up to play for the club’s Castilla (reserve) team, who play in the third tier in Spain. Since joining the club academy at the age of 14, Rodriguez has also played for the U15, U16 and U18 sides. Last season, Real’s 13 youth teams scored a combined 364 goals.
